We know you’ve been itching to pre-ride the Hometown Bicycles Mountain Bike Marathon race course. Here’s your chance…

Jack and Shaun spent the morning mowing to cut the course that will challenge racers on September 14th. It loops out from the upper west parking lot in Atchison Park of Lyon Township (click for directions).

The course is open to all, so get out and ride it!

RIDE THE COURSE WITH US!  Hometown’s peeps will be meeting up at Atchison Park this Sunday evening, August 18th, at 5:30pm to pre-race the course. Join us!

THE RACE: Register Now | Event Flier

This is a challenge marathon that pits you against both the clock and your fellow racers. It’s about speed and strategy. Winners are awarded in each age group. An overall winner will also be awarded in each level. Winners are the riders who cover the most distance in their alloted race time.

Approximate 2.5-mile route on a fast, flowy course averaging about 15 feet wide (plenty of room to pass). Challenges riders with some steep climbs and technical sections.

Packet pick-up and race-day registration opens at 8:30am. All rides start at 10:00am. Helmets are mandatory. If you do not register online, you must sign a waiver at the event. Waivers for racers under the age of 18 must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Your 2013 USAC MTB race age is your age on Dec. 31, 2013. All USAC MTB events will be held under USAC rules. Racers who reside outside the US must show their UCI license.
