The long-anticipated season is here: CYCLING SEASON. You’ve talked about your goals. You’ve dreamed about coming accomplishments. You are ready to ROLL. This is the year it’s going to happen, and we’re going to help you get there!

Here’s our official Hometown Ride Schedule, starting April 1st:

MONDAYS
MOUNTAIN BIKE MAYHEM RIDE
Time: 6PM, Start: Shop, Skill: Intermediate+
Distance: TBD (Island Lake Trails + ?)
This ride is intended to help you burn off the Monday blues. It’s a quick ride through Island Lake, and will generally be led by one of our Pro Riders. NOT a no-drop ride.

TUESDAYS
TOUR DE LIVINGSTON TRAINING RIDE
Time: 7PM, Start: Shop, Skill: All Levels
Distance: 18-25 Miles
Open to all riders, this is a chance to help you pack in the miles in preparation for a successful 2012 Tour de Livingston.

WEDNESDAYS
WICKED WHEELS ROAD RIDE
Time: 6PM, Start: Shop, Skill: Advanced
Distance: 25-35 Miles Minimum
Like the name says, it’s fast and it’s intense. This ride is led by one of our Pro Road Riders, and designed to help you hone your criterium skills.

THURSDAYS
TOUR DE CURE TRAINING RIDE
Time: 7PM, Start: Shop, Skill: All levels
Distance: 18-25 Miles
Open to all riders, this ride sets you on your way for an awesome 2012 Tour de Cure experience.

FRIDAYS
LADIES BIKE RIDE
Time: 6PM, Start: Shop, Skill: All levels
Distance: 18-25 Miles
‘Cuz Dawn said we had to (just kidding). This ride might be road or mountain. It’s all about learning skills, having fun and girl power.

SATURDAYS
ICEMAN TRAINING RIDE
Time: 8AM, Start: Shop, Skill: Intermediate+
Distance: 30+ Miles, ALL CONDITIONS
This is an all-weather, all-terrain, Iceman prep ride.

INTRO TO CYCLING CLINIC/RIDE
Time: 6PM, Start: Shop; Skill: Beginner
Distance: 12-15 Miles
This is a get-to-know-your-bicycle ride. It’s your chance to get all your questions answered by the Hometown experts… EN ROUTE!

SUNDAYS
BREAKFAST ROAD RIDE
Time: 8AM, Start: Shop, Skill: All levels
Distance: 30ish Miles (depends on destination)
Earn those breakfast calories to burn those breakfast calories. A gratifying start to your Sunday morning.

Time: 7PM, Start: Shop, Skill: Beginner
Distance: 15ish Miles
This is a get-to-know-your-bicycle ride for the trails. It’s a chance to get your mountain biking questions answered by the Hometown experts.

What a magical day at Hometown. We had customers, David & Lisa Sires, through the kindness of their hearts, spontaneously purchased a bicycle for little Aaron. Aaron, his brother Brenden and their dad Nathan were just stopping out to checkout the cool changes we did to the shop, and their faith collided. I asked David, Why the generous gift? he had one answer, “Look at his eyes” (talking about Aaron when i pulled the little bike out of the box)

HALFWAY THROUGH THE MONTH
& WE’RE OVER HALFWAY TO OUR GOAL!

We’re sure you noticed that it’s 70° and sunny outside today. We certainly have.
