Hometown Bicycles

Hometown Bicycles is teaming up with The Naz of Brighton to present a series of family-friendly bike rides with Hometown’s resident cycling instructor, Les Cook. It’s three rides, three different styles of riding – park path loop, family fun mini-ride, and beginner mountain biking.

Whether you can make one or make them all, Hometown and The Naz invite you to hop in the saddle and join in the adventure!

Kensington Bike Path  |  6/15/24  |  9:00am

• This will be a 9-mile loop around the lake at Kensington
• Recommended age is 10 and up
• Enter through Island lake and stay left, park at the turn around and we will ride under the bridge to Kensington.
• Helmet is required

Family Ride  |  7/20/24  |  9:30am

• This will be about a 3-mile ride in total (1.5 miles each way)
• We will meet at The Naz and ride up to the Millpond for ice cream and let the kids play at the Imagination Station.
• Recommended age is 6 and up – younger kids can ride in buggies or bike attachments.
• Helmet is required

Mountain Bike Ride  |  8/3/24  |  9:00am

• We will meet at the Brighton Rec Trailhead
• We will choose a route based on group’s skill level
• This ride is skill based, and general mountain bike experience is recommended.
• Helmet is required

Hometown Bicycle Weekly Group Rides

BEGINNER MOUNTAIN BIKE

NEXT RIDE: @ Hometown

Open to all skill levels, but geared toward the novice mountain biker, this weekly (weather permitting) ride from our shop takes us into the famed Island Lake trails. HELMET REQUIRED.

WEDNESDAY |  5:30pm |  Location varies

NEXT RIDE: @ Hometown

Open to intermediate/advanced mountain bikers, this weekly (weather permitting) ride will meet at various trails to practice a variety of skills and techniques. HELMET REQUIRED.
