Labor Day Hours & Foreshadowing
A Transcontinental Cyclist, a Beer Run & Fall Colors
…TOUR DE LIVINGSTON, THAT IS! This October 11th marks the 8th annual, recreational ride on our communities’ most scenic, autumn roads. We’re not supposed to play favorites, but this incredible cycling event takes the cake for us Hometownies!
As always, we’ll be your friendly Tour de Livingston bicycle support crew, fellow Tour riders, and raffle bike donator.
Also, with less than 2 months left to prepare, you’ll want to get yourself registered, prep your bike (we know a place that does the world’s best tune-ups – *wink-wink-nudge-nudge*), and log some serious mileage.
To help you with that last part, join Hometown for our Sunday morning Tour de Livingstontraining rides. We meet behind the Howell Courthouse at 8:00am, and ride two, 20-mile road loops at an intermediate level pace. Road bikes are required. Follow us on Facebookfor details and ride updates.
MEET OUR NEW FRIEND CHUCK… who just happens to be crossing the country by bicycle! Chuck stopped in for a repair on his ride from San Francisco to New York City. This guy is amazing!
Chuck hails from Korea, where he’s a student of Economics. He wanted to do something fun and unique between his Junior and Senior years at college, and decided to ride his bicycle across America on his summer vacation, visiting friends along the way. He is presently making his way across the Canadian border to New York.
May the wind be always at your back, Chuck. It was a privilege to be part of your adventure.

TIM: The Man, The Myth, The Legend…
OUR 12-SPEED SALUTE TO AN EXTRAORDINARY HOMETOWNIE: On the tail of 3 stellar years with the Hometown crew, sales star Tim Bart is venturing north (WAY north) for the next evolution of his collegiate career. We’re bummed to see him go…
Over 3 years ago, Tim’s customer service prowess at the Marshall’s check-out counter – friendly, polite, knowledgeable, genuine – impressed us so much that, a week later, when Tim’s brother introduced him to Hometown for a bike, he also left with a new job!
Since then, Tim has become an integral part of our crew – representing Hometown impressively on the sales floor, on shop rides, and at events. He has a knack for staying calm, a ready smile, a willing attitude, and customers love him for going that extra mile.
We knew from Day 1 that Tim would be moving on at a certain stage in his college career. But as one of our greatest company assets, we will always consider him a part of the Hometown family.
Best of luck at Michigan Tech, Tim. All of us – your customers and fellow Hometownies – will miss you!
TODAY IS TIM’S LAST DAY AT THE SHOP… COME OUT AND WISH HIM LUCK IN HIS UPCOMING ENGINEERING ENDEAVORS!
