Yummmmmmmmmmm… looks DELICIOUS, doesn’t it? But what on earth do brownies have to do with Hometown… ?
These morsels of mouth watering, chocolatey goodness WILL be gracing the picnic tables at Hometown’s 1st Annual Bike & BBQ for the American Diabetes Association this Saturday. You’ll find them alongside professionally grilled burgers, chicken and hot dogs, accompanied by salads, fruits, kettle chips, homemade cookies, pies and all manner of other treats.
Certified Executive Chef Scott Knue is volunteering his culinary genius (and we can personally attest to his “mad cooking skillz”) to rock the grill. VanEerden Food Service stepped up to the plate to provide us with the majority of the meal (thanks, Jacki Knue, for making that possible!), and other Hometown Cycling team members are pitching in to provide homemade goodies.
Want to know the best part? No wait! This event is TOMORROW:
SATURDAY, MAY 12, 2012 @ DODGE BROS. LOT in ISLAND LAKE STATE PARK (Follow the balloons and it will lead you to the lot )
BBQ ($5/person): 11am-1pm | BIKE RAFFLE TICKETS: $5.00 per person RIDE: 2pm

P.S. We’ll all be sporting our Hometown Cycling jerseys at the event, so if you’ve got one, wear it!
So – to sum it up – incredible food, amazing people, no-drop ride, bike raffle, silent auction and all for a great cause. We challenge you to bring along family and friends. Look forward to seeing you there!
