RACE DAY ROCKED!!!
Race day dawned capital B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L beautiful, and the event’s awesome factor just skyrocketed from there. Our racers were a supremely cool collection of hardcore to novice guys and gals. Spectators were blown away by their skill and staying power.
And watching cycling’s future riders tricycle around the kiddie course with grins the size of granny gears gave ALL of us goosebumps of pride.
Then, let’s not forget our superstar spectators who marathon cheered our riders home.
It was AMAZING, and we can’t wait until next year.
RACERS WON OVER $12K IN CASH & PRIZES!
Yep, you read that right. Mountain Bike Marathon racers walked (gingerly) home with
$1,825 in cash + $10,888 in prizes
A good day’s pay for having a blast on a fun course with fun people, wouldn’t you say?
Our spectators made out like bandits, too, with 4 giveaway bicycles and TONS of bonus schwag from our sponsors.
