A HUGE Weekend Ahead for Hometown (our hours will be different!)

THIS WEEKEND’S STORE HOURS

Because of the 3 HUGE things listed below, we’ll be changing our hours for this weekend:

SAT (7/28) Hours: 7am-5pm

SUN (7/29) Hours: CLOSED

Hometown Bicycles' Crew

Back Row from left: Matt, Ryan, Scott, Shaun;  Second Row from left: CJ, James;  Front Row: Bill

As a Hometownie, you already know that there’s ALWAYS an adventure brewing at, or in association with, our shop. This coming weekend, we may have just trumped ourselves…

HUGE THING #1
2012 Milford Criterium Michigan State ChampionshipHometown’s crew includes 2 defending State Champions and 1 State Champ hopeful for this Sunday’s 2012 Milford Criterium (July 29). Scott Hoffner, who bagged the 2011 Cat 3 State Champion title at last year’s Milford Crit, will be racing this year in the Cat 1/Cat 2 Pro division. CJ Brish won 2011 Cat 5 State Champ, and will now be racing Cat 4. Ryan Erxleben is ranked number 1 with USA Cycling for Cat 5, and is a favorite to win this weekend.

A Criterium, FYI, is a looped, lapped road race that’s EXTREMELY spectator-friendly. The more cheering, the better. Hint hint!

HUGE THING #2
Jamis BicyclesThis still blows us away… Hometown Bicycles has been recognized by Jamis as being one of their top dealers in the nation!

For that reason, Hometown, along with select dealers from across the country, have been invited to Jamis Bicycles’ New Jersey Headquarters this weekend, where we’ll have insider access to preview their 2013 bike line.

The #1 reason we’ve earned this honor is because of YOU and your loyal patronage, so you’ll get to share our experience! We’ll be posting on-location, “sneak peek” photos and Jamis news on Facebook, and will come back with a better ability to give you the ride of your life on one of the best bicycles in the world!

HUGE THING #3
Make-A-Wish's 25th Anniversary Wish-A-Mile Bicycle TourThe famous Make-A-Wish Wish-A-Mile (WAM) Bicycle Tour is Michigan’s largest ride, and it’s happening this weekend! 300 miles in 3 days, from Traverse City to Chelsea. And, because our customers are the coolest, many of them will be a part of this remarkable event. To those riders, we just want to say:

Thank you for representing Hometown in such an incredible way – pedaling with the purpose of making children’s dreams come true!

THIS WEEKEND’S STORE HOURS
Because of the 3 HUGE things listed above, we’ll be changing our hours for this weekend:

SUN (7/29) Hours: CLOSED

So, stay tuned on Facebook for our Jamis updates, cheer on our crew at the Milford Criterium and, if you’re doing the WAM ride, take photos, so we can brag about you afterward!

“Spot the Vibe” Challenge!

Hometown Spot the Vibe FB Photo Challenge

If a quick-n-easy $10 Hometown store credit sounds good to you, read on…

We’ll be running our “Spot the Vibe Facebook Photo Challenge” periodically throughout the coming months, and every time we run it, you have a chance to make out like a bandit. Here’s how it works:

1) Snap a photo of the Hometown Vibe (see above – you can’t miss it!) in any location EXCEPT at the shop or Hometown grounds. You do not need to be in the photo, but that would definitely make it cooler!

2) Post the photo on YOUR Facebook page.

3) Share your photo on Hometown Bicycles’ Facebook page, by clicking the “Share” button below the photo you posted on YOUR page.

This Challenge can occur at any time on any date, and will ONLY BE ANNOUNCED ON FACEBOOK. Only 1 photo will be accepted per person per Challenge, but you can enter as many “Spot the Vibe” Challenges as you want.

So, keep your eyes peeled, your camera phone handy and follow us on Facebook to start racking up those credits!
