Hometown Bicycles Tune-Up Referral Cards

With Michigan cycling season officially kicking off on March 1st, we’re less than 20 days away from all heck breaking loose at Hometown. We’re ready for it. Are you???

Now that we’ve pressed your panic button, here’s what’s going on… get money back from your tune-up and help a friend out in the process! Our Tune-Up Referral Card works like this:

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:  We’ll put a $5 store credit on your account when your friend brings in the Referral Card with their purchase of a Hometown tune-up.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUR FRIEND:  Your friend gets a complimentary inner tube when they redeem the Referral Card with their Hometown tune-up.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR HOMETOWN:  Bike people and bike repair – our two favorite things in the world. That makes this program just plain awesome.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUR COMMUNITY:  Remember, $5 of every, single Hometown tune-up purchased between January 1 – March 31, 2014 is being donated to the Livingston County United Way, which runs programs that directly benefit our community.

Crazy Deals at Tonight & Tomorrow’s Clinics

TONIGHT & TOMORROW’S CLINICS:

20% Off Storewide for Every Clinic Attendee

Hometownies and loyal clinic-goers, you know us well enough by now to know that we, and especially our clinics, have never been “all about the sales.” But tonight and tomorrow, we’re covering a hugely important topic for your comfort and safety that, by its very nature, requires us to talk product.

That topic is “The Right Equipment”, and it’s all about “the best type & fit of cycling gear – including helmets, shoes, and more – to keep you safe and comfortable.” If you’re not comfortable, you won’t ride. And if you’re not safe, you won’t be ABLE to ride. And then you can’t geek out with us on the roads and trails. And THAT would defeat our mission of getting everyone nuts about bicycles!

So, as a special “thanks” for braving the snow to learn handy facts and ride-enhancing tips about the gear that can make or break your ride…

EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS
TONIGHT’S AND/OR TOMORROW’S CLINIC

will receive
20% OFF ALL IN-STORE ITEMS

THAT ARE PURCHASED AT THE CLINIC

AND that includes BICYCLES!!!

We’re busting this clinic wide open, so no limits on seating (though you may want to bring a chair, in case we run out.) However, we’d love to know if you’re coming, so please call ahead to tell us you’ll be there! (810) 225-2441 If you can’t make one, join us for the other – this deal applies both days!

THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT CLINIC:

TONIGHT!!! FEB. 5TH from 6-7pm
– OR –
THURSDAY, FEB. 6TH from 1-2pm

Thanks for being a part of our adventure!

Shop Opening Delayed, but Not Derailed

Sneak Peek: Hometown Bicycles Whitmore Lake

OUR WHITMORE LAKE SHOP LOOKS INCREDIBLE… like ‘your-dream-bicycle-under-the-Christmas-tree’ incredible!

We’re rarin’ to bring you in, but need to first tackle a few, last-minute requests from the Township. This will put us past our anticipated February 1st open date.

No worries! While we’re waiting for the final go-ahead, we’ll be using the bonus time to brainstorm bonus awesomeness for the shop, plus formulate plans for our Grand Opening celebration.

In the meantime, we want to help you imagine what it will feel like to be standing in Hometown Bicycles Whitmore Lake. Above is an in-progress photo from earlier this month.

Thanks for hanging in there Hometownies. It’ll be worth the wait…

YOU’RE GONNA LOVE THIS SHOP!

Call for Support! Hometown Hero Ride Series

Hometown Hero Bicycle Event Series
You know us… always an adventure brewing at Hometown Bicycles.

This year, hot on the heels of our crazy-successful 2013 Mountain Bike Marathon, we’re prepping for a new kind of awesome in 2014.

Planning is already heavily underway for a series of 4 charity rides that will support the true, blue Hometown Heroes in our community, including: Fire, Police, Military, and EMS/First Responders. All proceeds and donations will support the charities that each participating department supports.

It’s open to all cyclists of all skill levels – families encouraged!

Now, here’s where we need your help…

1)  We’re working to secure the same, ideal location where we held our Mountain Bike Marathon – James F. Atchison Memorial Park in Lyon Township – and encourage you to CONTACT LYON TOWNSHIP TO LET THEM KNOW YOU WANT TO ATTEND THE HOMETOWN HERO SERIES IN THEIR PARK. Call 248-437-2240 or submit an email from their contact page.

2)  Are you a member of, or know someone who’s a member of a nearby Fire or Police Department? Please CONNECT US! We’re all about supporting as many Hometown Heroes as we can! The more Departments that get involved, the more cyclists they’ll draw… and the more cyclists they draw, the more funds we can raise for their charities.

Thanks so much for your support!
