Interested in joining the Hometown Bicycles cycling Team? We’re welcoming aboard riders of every skill level and cycling preference to one of our two teams:

The Race Team – Hometown Bicycles Race Team is geared for the competitive cyclist, beginner to pro. You’ll take the Hometown values – positive vibes, good sportsmanship, cycling advocacy, goal setting, and having fun – to the shop rides and races.

The Club Team – Hometown Bicycles Club Team shares the joy of cycling via non-competitive rides and events. This Team is perfect for the casual, recreational, charity, and fitness riders.

THE BENEFITS OF BEING A TEAM RIDER
Hometown Bicycles Team cyclists enjoy discount privileges, service priority, race/ride reimbursement, rewards for shop ride and event participation, and more. You’ll also be a part of something that supports the sport you love, and will connect with other amazing people who share your passion!

YOGA FOR CYCLISTS: STRETCH IT A LITTLE FURTHER

Our Community Room has been awash in flexibility and relaxation these past several weeks, as Jessica Beaubien of Soul Stretch Yoga rounds out her Yoga for Cyclists series.

The next 6-week Yoga for Cyclists series begins in a couple weeks – same time, same place (Tuesdays 11-12 in our Community Room). 6 weeks for $30, or $7 for walk-ins. Email soulstretch@gmail.com to register.

The End of the Beginning

IT’S HARD TO FIND WORDS FOR WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HOMETOWN…

For over 5 years now, our bicycle shop has been evolving in its modest home. We’ve jokingly called it our first child (sorry, Liam!), but that’s really not too far from the truth. We’ve raised it from a fledgling service shop to a full-out, bursting-at-the-seams cyclists’ haven.

It’s inspired people to laugh, achieve, dream, smile, and RIDE. It’s witnessed our engagement, marriage, first home, and first baby. It’s been a resource for our crew, our customers, and our community. It’s set a new standard for the “bike shop experience.”

So, we guess what we’re trying to say is…

YAHOOOO!! We’re moving!!!

Hometown Bicycles is moving! THE NEXT FEW DAYS

Here’s how it’s going down… WE ARE OPEN for today and tomorrow in our current location. Though the shop is a move-in-progress, WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING BICYCLES FOR SERVICE during this time.

However, STARTING THIS THURSDAY, we are officially out of there!

GOING FORWARD

Following the move is new shop set-up, so we’ll be taking a brief time to get everything finalized and placed. Pending approvals, we anticipate re-opening in our new home by theTour de Livingston!

Because of the enormity of this project, this will likely be a multi-phase opening, with the Grand Opening celebration happening later in the month. But maybe that’s for the best… we don’t want to incapacitate you by unleashing too much awesome at once!

Stay tuned to our emails, website, and Facebook for the latest Hometown updates. They’re getting more interesting by the second…

A Transcontinental Cyclist, a Beer Run & Fall Colors

…TOUR DE LIVINGSTON, THAT IS! This October 11th marks the 8th annual, recreational ride on our communities’ most scenic, autumn roads. We’re not supposed to play favorites, but this incredible cycling event takes the cake for us Hometownies!

As always, we’ll be your friendly Tour de Livingston bicycle support crew, fellow Tour riders, and raffle bike donator.

Also, with less than 2 months left to prepare, you’ll want to get yourself registered, prep your bike (we know a place that does the world’s best tune-ups – *wink-wink-nudge-nudge*), and log some serious mileage.

To help you with that last part, join Hometown for our Sunday morning Tour de Livingstontraining rides. We meet behind the Howell Courthouse at 8:00am, and ride two, 20-mile road loops at an intermediate level pace. Road bikes are required. Follow us on Facebookfor details and ride updates.

TRANSCONTINENTAL RIDER VISITS HOMETOWN

MEET OUR NEW FRIEND CHUCK… who just happens to be crossing the country by bicycle! Chuck stopped in for a repair on his ride from San Francisco to New York City. This guy is amazing!

Chuck hails from Korea, where he’s a student of Economics. He wanted to do something fun and unique between his Junior and Senior years at college, and decided to ride his bicycle across America on his summer vacation, visiting friends along the way. He is presently making his way across the Canadian border to New York.

May the wind be always at your back, Chuck. It was a privilege to be part of your adventure.
