As always, we’ll be opening the shop late on Tour de Livingston morning, so that all of our staff can participate. No one should miss out on this fun!
Sunday, October 8th
Noon – 5pm Sunday’s weather is coming up sunny and high 70s, so Mother Nature is on board! Ten beautiful Jamis bicycles (donated by your Hometown peeps) are gearing up to go home with 10 lucky Tour participants (and all you have to do is register for the Tour for ten chances to take one home!) Plus, the Tour has some extra awesomeness up its sleeve for this year’s big day:

1) This is the 10th Anniversary!
To commemorate the 10th year of this great ride, there are a bunch of new and exciting additions – including this special 10th anniversary commemorative jersey! For more information on how to get this jersey, visit:http://www.tourdelivingston.org/jersey-riders.html
2) 10 bike give-away
To celebrate 10 years, Hometown Bicycles will be GIVING AWAY 10 BICYCLES at this year’s event! All registered riders will be entered into the drawing, with the bikes given away on October 8! (Jersey Guys & Gals receive additional entries!)
3) New Bicycle Friendly Routes!
Great for families, beginners, or those that prefer to ride on roads less traveled… This new route will consist of bike-friendly paths and park roadways within Island Lake and Kensington Parks. 6, 12, and 20 mile options with hospitality stops every 6 miles. Registration will still take place at Mt. Brighton.
4) More family fun than ever before
Bring the whole family along! New this year – there will be a Kid’s Zone at Mt. Brighton with various activities for the little ones (along with a parent/guardian). The menu has also expanded to include a special kid’s meal!

6) Breakfast is served!
All participants get a hot and delicious breakfast included with their registration! Breakfast is served from 7am – 10am at Mt. Brighton. Come hungry and set-off ready to conquer the route of your choice.
7) Volunteer-run

8) All proceeds from Tour de Livingston go to basic needs in Livingston County
100% of proceeds from Tour help to: bridge the gap for local hardworking families struggling to meet their most basic needs; prepare every child to be ready for success; and build a healthy community for all residents via theLivingston County United Way.
9) Since the start of this event, the Tour de Livingston has raised over $250,000 for basic needs in Livingston County!
10) Pre-registration closes Friday, October 6th at midnight.
