Shaun and I met over bike clinics, so Hometown’s yearly winter clinic series has always been near and dear to our hearts. But that’s the only thing nostalgic about this year’s series; we’ve got a new, dream room in a new, dream shop to take it to an “11”!

Our clinics are free, and we appreciate your pre-registration for set-up purposes. This week – it was all about the safety. Next week brings the MASSIVELY popular, two-part Bike Care & Maintenance clinics. You’ll get the 411 on keeping your trusty steed looking and working its absolute best!

BECOME A STRONGER & MORE EFFICIENT CYCLIST

Yoga for Cyclists

Rockstar yogi (anyone who could run a yoga class in our former, cramped location deserves that title), co-founder of Hometown Bicycles Green Gals, and owner of Soul Stretch Yoga, Jessica Beaubien is now taking registrations for a cyclist-specific yoga class in the comfort and privacy of Hometown’s Community Room.

It’s an absolute steal at 6 weeks for $30. Walk-in price is $7 per session. Classes will runTuesdays at 11am. If interested, please email soulstretch@gmail.com.

HOMETOWN BICYCLES’ STUDENT ART PROGRAM!

Hometown Bicycles Student Art Program in our community room

(Student art from Brighton High School on display in our Community Room!)
WE’RE SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!

We’re putting out a challenge to the schools in our community – to have their art students (drawing, painting, metalwork, pottery, you-name-it-we’ll-take-it) create bicycle artwork to display in our shop. Many of these pieces will be for sale, AND (this is important)…

100% OF STUDENT ART SALES GOES DIRECTLY
TO THE STUDENT WHO CREATED IT!

This is a chance for budding artists to get some real-world business experience and public exposure for their art.

A special kudos goes out to Maureen Ray and her Brighton High School art studentsfor being the first to accept the challenge! Come and check out their imaginative artwork at our shop. Maybe you’ll see something that you’ll want to take home!

Want to see YOUR kids’ artwork at Hometown? Connect with your school art teacher, and have them contact Dawn at office@myhometownbicycles.com or (810) 225-2441. Any school, any age level; it’s never too early to support a love for art and bicycles!
