Winter Cycling Clinics continue and Fitness Classes are BACK!

We have two clinics coming up before the end of the month and you’re invited!

These are socially-distanced gatherings in our Community Room where each person in attendance has his/her own table. Masks are required. We’re keeping it safe while enjoying an hour or two out of the house on Saturday evenings after shop hours. Attendance is limited to SEVEN people, so grab your spots early!

Saturday 2/20 from 5-6 PM
“TRY” Clinic

The theme is TRY! For those new to the idea of completing a triathlon. Not for the well-versed competitors, but for the beginner who’s maybe still sitting on their couch, wanting to work toward this bucket list goal.

To sign up for this FREE event, click HERE.

Saturday 2/27 from 5-6 PM
Tech Talk: Q&A with our Master Mechanics

This is YOUR opportunity to bring questions to our master mechanics, Tyler and Mason. For one hour, they will share their knowledge and provide answers to your most pressing mechanical questions. Target audience: Intermediate riders who have a decent working knowledge of their bike(s), and bicycle parts and components.

Cost: $12

Support Local! And get a Hometown perk!

We hope our local restaurants are doing well since re-opening earlier this month. Help us help them.

For the month of February, we’ll be running the following promotion:

  • Go to a local family-owned restaurant. We’re talking about those places with owners that live in and support our local community!
  • Bring your restaurant receipt to the shop and pose for a photo.
  • Receive a $5 credit to your Hometown account.

It’s that simple!

**Limit of 4 credits for the month of February, one per week. Together we CAN make a difference.

Save the Date!

THANKS FOR MAKING WEDNESDAY NIGHT THE BIGGEST & BEST CLINIC IN THE HISTORY OF HOMETOWN!
Covering everything from favorite bike paths, to shop rides, to joining Team Hometown Bicycles, the final clinic in our 2016 Winter Clinic Series blew the lid off our “OMG!” meter. It was literally standing room only with ideas and opportunities a-flyin’!

Missed out? Major bummer! But know that you can drop by any time for information and handouts, or you can contact Jennifer at events@myhometownbicycles.com for further details.

GIRL SCOUT LUNCH-&-LEARN AT HOMETOWN

Girl Scouts Daisy Troop at Hometown Bicycles
Shaun was kept hopping Thursday evening by the energetic and enthusiastic interest of Daisy Girl Scout Troop 40627 in bicycle care and safety. This kindergarten-aged crowd asked some really first rate questions, and absolutely brought the store to life with their budding love for cycling.

Want us to host a mini-clinic for YOUR Scout Troop? We LOVE sharing our bike know-how! Contact Jennifer to schedule your next Troop meeting at Hometown:events@myhometownbicycles.com.

LAST CHANCE TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY!

Brighton High School student bicycle art display at Hometown Bicycles

Today, Friday afternoon, marks the close of the incredible Brighton High School bicycle art exhibit in our Community Room – the very first student art exhibit of our Hometown Bicycles Student Art Program.

Another piece sold yesterday (more on this in an upcoming email!) Today is your last chance to support the students who pioneered this program by buying their art. Remember, 100% of every sale goes directly to the student!

Thanks again, Maureen Ray, for having your BHS students help launch a piece of Hometown history. And thanks to the wonderful customers who already purchased art and made a student feel inspired!

Next up… Bartlett Elementary School in South Lyon, COMING SOON!

AND WE’RE NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT OUR CREW… This Saturday, March 5th from 11:30am-3:30pm (immediately following the “Intro to Adventure Racing” clinic!), Last Chance Pet Rescue is bringing a handful of heart-melters who are looking for love and a forever home.

Donations are encouraged, and adoptions welcomed. But, if nothing else, stop by and give these tough-luck survivors some well-earned belly rubs – it’ll make you both feel great! Bring the kids!!
